What Poppies is
A pop-up for creatives.
Poppies brings small creative crowds together in unexpected places for unique experiences shaped by culture, creativity and curiosity. Like a poppy blooming quietly where you least expect it, bringing a little spark of joy along the way.
Created by Aquamini, a DJ duo and their event company based on the Spanish coast, Poppies grew from their shared passion and love for music, art, creative culture and bringing people together, and a wish for bringing something different the coast, to connect, create, get inspired and simply have a good time.
Around the same time, we crossed paths with Finca El Pilar: a beautiful finca on the Spanish coast, a creative playground and former sculptor’s home, now beginning a new chapter of its own. Two new beginnings met, something clicked and the first Poppies began to take shape.

Follow the poppies in
The evening starts with a playful path that leads you from the gate to the garden, with little surprises along the way. A warm welcome, a Poppies drink in your hand, settle in and have a look around.
As the evening goes on, we’ll move from one setting to the next, with vinyl playing, a lovely selection of fresh food to pick, fun things to discover and plenty of time to connect. When the concert doors open, find your cosy spot and enjoy a special backyard concert in Poppies style ✿

A cosy living-room concert in the garden of Finca El Pilar
A film you probably haven’t seen before, outside under the stars in a homey set up and the chance to meet the maker behind the movie.
An afternoon around a beautifully set table, where food, culture and creativity meet. Everyone brings a little piece of their culture, a flavour, story, tradition or idea, to share, discover and enjoy together.
An art exhibition that steps outside the gallery. Art, nature and sound come together in a surreal setting.
Workshops to create, explore, slow down and enjoy a moment away from the everyday.
A special edition for the lil’ ones. A day full of inspiring activities to enjoy, explore and create together.
